Nicola Venturini was born in Russia and raised in New York. She grew up in a non-denominational Christian household. She found herself extremely attached to music, learned all the lyrics on her parents’ Worship Together CD sets and performed the song “Shine, Jesus, Shine” in front of her entire church at the age of four. According to her lifelong pastor, she “rocked the house.”
Nicola received a ukulele for Christmas at the age of thirteen and wrote her first serious song, “What Do You See,” which she released alongside a few other songs in 2017. In spite of her extreme passion for alternative and punk rock music, she continued to write singer-songwriter material for the next two years, citing Elton John as her biggest influence.
In 2019 she released her second EP titled “Love You Like a Brother,” after traveling to eastern Europe to meet her biological mother and brother. She followed up a few months later with her first LP, “Don’t Break My Heart,” which was basically a compilation of random songs that she put together for a humanities project to portray her journey through high school.
At the start of the 2020 pandemic, the world was turned upside down. She discovered Mötley Crüe at the exact moment that her graduation was cancelled. Amidst all her frustration, Nicola cracked down and wrote an entire rock album in two weeks, which she would title “Revival.” She cites Crüe, Black Sabbath, Nirvana, Ozzy Osbourne and Hole as her inspirations for the passion project. Other notable mentions are her two alt-pop EPs released in 2021 (“Taboo” and “To Lose or To Love”), which both examine her deepest and most hurtful experiences from identity to trauma and religion.
Now a senior songwriting major at Belmont University in Nashville, TN, Nicola (more commonly known now as Eva Nicole) is bringing a new stream of consciousness to the music scene while building up her credits as a rock artist with her powerful vocals and vulnerable lyrics.
She released her album, "Independent Kids" on April 27, 2022.
Her new singles, "Wish You Were Here," "Heartbreak Addict," "Love You, Man," and "Keep on Wondering" are available on all streaming platforms.
Throughout her first two years at Belmont University, Eva wrote her new album, Independent Kids. The sound of this album is best described as passionate, punchy, driven, hard-hitting, punk, powerful, and vulnerable.
Eva is now focused on writing her next set of absolute bops, release date(s) TBD.
